The Church of the Holy Rood, Mordiford is in the Hereford Diocese and part of the Benefice which includes Fownhope, Brockhampton, and Woolhope with Checkley.
Services are held in each of the churches each Sunday. The times of the services are given on the back page of the The Magazine
The Magazine, The Beneficial, is published and distributed throughout the Benefice each month. Items for inclusion should be with the editor by the 10th of the previous month. A copy of the most recent edition is available here.

To commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, an English Yew was planted in the churchyard by three loyal parishioners, Mr Peter Davies, Mr Edgar Moss and Mr John Harris. A plaque is sited nearby.
You may like to take a photographic stroll through the churchyard. You will see the Diamond Jubilee Yew but there are many older specimens planted to commemorate long forgotten events.
The Church of the Holy Rood celebrated the 150th anniversary of the birth of Edgar Elgar on the 6th-8th July 2007 with a Flower Festival. Displays were inspired by his compositions and his way of life.
