Many thanks to the kind person/people who removed the remains of the old church bench and' strimmed' the wild area. We are sure that Old Angus would be interested to know that a pheasant hen made her nest under the Jo Wilson memorial bench amongst the wild flowers with 4 or 5 eggs. Sadly we are not sure if they were successfully hatched and reared.

 Church Development (Re-ordering) Project

Further to last month's update, I am very pleased to report that we have now received planning approval from Herefordshire Council for the external toilet, with a small number of not too onerous conditions. The DAC (church approval body) has also agreed to discuss the full application at their meeting in May, so hopefully we will also be able to advise Veoila that we have this agreement in place before their grant body meets in June. It is an exciting and nerve-racking time in equal measure. Nick

Dormington and Mordiford Parish Council Allotments

At a recent meeting of the Parish Council, it was agreed to reduce the annual fee for renting an allotment between Shepherds Orchard and Sufton Rise to ONLY £40.

If you are interested in taking up this offer, please contact the Parish Clerk, Chris Bucknell, on 07777 669662

Churchyard Mowing Rota

We are very grateful indeed to all these volunteers for their help.  Whilst John Hughes understandably feels mowing is rather too much for him these days, he is very willing to strim around the graves whenever necessary and he keeps a close eye on when this might be required.

If you are unavailable on your specified date, please arrange to swap with someone.
