Welcome from the Community of the Dormington and Mordiford Parishes in Herefordshire

Welcome to the villages of Dormington, Mordiford, Checkley and Priors Frome
all of which are served by the Dormington and Mordiford parish council.

These villages are situated some four miles to the East of the City of Hereford and lie on the banks of the River Lugg and the River Frome.  The confluence between the River Wye and River Lugg is on our southern boundary.  Most of the area is part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The four villages all lie in the Hereford Diocese.
Checkley and Mordiford belong to  the Fownhope Group of Parishes which also includes Woolhope and Brockhampton. Dormington is part of the Bartestree Cross Benefice. Priors Frome has its own chapel.

Mordiford Primary School serves the four villages but has a much wider catchment.

Neighbourhood Watch operates throughout the whole group of parishes.
